time to update again!
latest news..i am transferred to our Toa Payoh Branch already since yest. but was too dead to blog about it last nite. and yes. i am a receptionist there. and me and brenda tot its prob going to be very boring job as there is nothing to do. and oh boy....are we wrong or not. the blardy phones wunt stopped ringing from 9 am till 6 pm!
like siao rite....we have 3 phones there, each phone has 3 lines and at times all lines will ring at the same time. wat! we only have one phone how to tok to 3 ppl at the same time...forget it. we were so tired yest. i went to slp the moment i showered.
and fuck...i have to travel like 1.5 hrs just to go to work every morning and come back!!!!!! its is damn boring! esp when the blardy trains are damn packed with old man and stuff...i mean..if the whole train is filled with hot guys or at least guys that are my type...i mean...hey..i wouldnt complain ( who in the rite mind would rite)anyway thats not the point, we are so used to Suntec environment that it felt funny to be at Toa payoh...not only that the work is diff (we are doing paralegal work to reception leh! and we cant go to court! we are stuck at the recep desk!!!! help!!!!!) and i am the kind that cant sit still at one place and now i have to sit there from 9-6.....maybe not lunch hour. Thank God! it keeps my sanity.
I swear...from now on..i respect those receptionists (only those working in my firm like dat where the bloodly phone wunt stoppped ringing and clients keep coming for meetings until u feel like really killing them all - the phones i mean not the clients) coz it is really not an easy job. u are at the front lines..and you will be first scolded by both, clients, ppl that call and cant get to the person they wan and the ppl working inside. see..how sad rite.
oh yes...brenda has to collect faxes from the machines and distribute them while i have to settle outgoing mails (and trust me...these faxes and mails are seriously...like waterfall..u noe..the grand canyon or sumting...it FLOWSSSSSSSS and FLOWSSSSSSSS) ***hats off to those receptionist***
seriously...i wunt survive one mth in this job...(thank God SIP is ending in 2 week times..please please....let it ends soon!!)
no offense seriously...the ppl are nice not as bad as wat we were told and hey! at least me and brenda have not called back to suntec to cry and beg to go back suntec after 2 days as compared to the attachee last year. so not so bad. must give credit to ourselves.
and oh yes...i have 3 names now and they are: santi, robin and xiaoyin. if u called suntec branch and looking for me, u either used santi or xiaoyin and if u call Toa Payoh...they ALL ALL noe me only by ROBIN. okay. so cool rite. dad, arent proud. they keep calling u! hahahaha.
so i had this phone call this morning, the client asked for my name..the conversation goes like this:
He: "may i noe who i am speaking to?"
me: "I am Robin here"
He: "Robin? How do you spell that?" (is there other way of spelling robin?)
me: R-O-B-I-N?
He: "....er....er....you are a ger rite?" (wth..u mean i sound like a man? hello???"
me: "yes sir..i am a ger."
He: "orh...okay...coz robin sounds like a guy's name. hahaha"
Me: "nah..its quite a neutral name..hahaa"
he: "orh..isit? okay.thanks so much robin"
me: "no problem. bye." (at this point, if i had a gun...you guys should get the idea what i will do)
so yeah. arent is cool. i miss SUNTEC!!!!!!!!! repeat after me. SUNTEC...SUNTEC....SUNTEC....SUNTEC.....okay..i am going mad soon. oh well...its good that i picked up alot of calls. now...i dun even wan to touch my HP...i feel like banging my own phone too when it rings. seriously...enough of phones!!!
one thing i realise from this SIP...nv enter the practice of law unless u are a LAWYER. and hell...dun ever be receptionist in a busy law firm unless you can handle the volume...seriously....!!
okay...now must give credit..work there not so bad lah...learn new things are recep also and yeah...u see alot of diff ppl..nice ones...stupid ones...(opps. i mean not so smart ones)...nasty ones...and yes...weird ones and hell...stubborn ones. so yeah.
wah! i just scroll up and i realise my post damn long le...i also wan to blog summore but like too long leh...i shall end first continue my grumbling tml. i shall end this with a nice pic of my cute little cupcake!
